Oil Mist Collection Solutions

Oil, smoke, coolant, solvents, metal dust and bacteria — this potent mix of airborne contaminants is a natural by product of certain metalworking processes and is widely documented. So are the hazards. Not only do oily residues pose the obvious “slip and fall” danger, but exposure to these airborne substances has been shown to cause respiratory illness, allergies, skin ailments and even cancer. The Clarion Series has demonstrated the ability to reduce these airborne pollutants to as little as 0.5 mg/m3 and lower — well below OSHA’s standard for exposure limits. (As cited on their website, the current Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) permissible exposure limits for mineral oil mist is 5 milligrams per cubic meter of air in an 8-hour time-weighted average.)
